Lady Emma Bowen loves everything about her snug little house in London. Captain Phineas Quentin hates everything about his—except that it's near hers. Because he feels ever so much more than neighborly toward the pretty widow next door. This short story (10,000 words) originally appeared in the Mammoth Book of Regency Romance.

This was a sweet story. A young widow happy to live the life she has, but with a crush on her neighbor. She also has an annoying mother that is all about status in society. A retired naval officer ready to have a life, but with a crush on his neighbor. It's not a long story only 93 pgs, but I think the author builds the characters nicely.
It was only the beginning it felt so unfinished. I was so disappointed.
A sweet short story, 93 pages with no sex scenes. What a rip off!!!! Not worth 99 cents!!!
