This series follows the life of Lillith, the first feminist. She fights for equal rights of women with men, she is the first to believe in and promote sexuality for women with enjoyment and without shame. She is the first to claim rights to decide what happens with her body regarding birth. Punished for her emancipated ways, Lillith is banished from relations with earthly men (except for Adam) and all her offspring with the Angeles are doomed to be misshapen and afflicted. Rather than endure pregnancy and put her offspring through the agony of being birthed and dieing, Lillith often chooses to abort them. Mothers fear Lillith, who in her grief for her own imperfect children, descends on newborn babes to love and cuddle them - but the curse cheats Lillith even of surrogate motherly bonds as her affection suffocates human children.
