    Lincoln....The Greatest President

If you are, at least, interested in any President, Lincoln should be the One to choose. This book contains reproductions of documents during his presidency and makes the book more exciting and most interesting.
A Must for any Lincoln Buff and for all Libraries!

    more from this reviewer

    I Also Recommend:

    Glorious "Living History" of Lincoln

I was in Washington, D.C. recently and saw many books on our Greatest President, but none of them, including some beautifully written and illustrated books by some of the foremost Lincoln Historians in the country could beat this book for the sheer Interactive design, the well-written (by Tom Schwartz, Illinois State Historian) biography, and the wonderful hands-on documents of Lincoln's life (especially for teachers, students, and for young Americans who need to know what a Real Great and Courageous, not to mention, Humane President was like).

While the information about Abraham Lincoln contained in this book is really nothing new, the pockets of documents bring a sense of realism in that they make Abraham Lincoln and the Civil War era come to life.

This would make a most wonderful addition and a great Christmas-Hanukkah (belated) present to those interested in Lincoln, the Civil War, and United States History.

    Very Interesting

I found this book to be very interesting and it was really fun to me that I could look at copies of documents that looked original pertaining to this time of history. It was fun and enlightening. I would recommend it to anyone who loves history.
