RATING:4.5)A MUST READ FULL OF GOSSIP AND ROMANCE! LINNETTE,THE LIONESS BY LAVINIA KENT...

LINNETTE,THE LIONESS by Lavinia Kent is an exciting historical romance set in Regency England. It iw written with depth and details. The characters are enchanting and engaging. It is the second of the "Duchessess of London" series, but can be read as a stand alone. See "Kathryn,The Kitten". This is the story of Linnette, the Dowager Duchess of Doveshire and James, the new Duke of Doveshire. Their love affair, secrets, sweet sensuality, romance, gossip, betrayal and their finding happiness. Linnette and James have a past that left Linnette with bitterness for the man she once loved, but was forced to marry another. Gossip has it that Linnette is "with child" with her best friend's husband's child. She and James will have to find forgiveness with each other and learn that secrets can destroy them. Their attraction has never ceased.Linnette has taken James as her lover.Together they will weather the storm of feelings and the truth of their long standing love affair, their parent's deception, and gossip. This is a fast paced story with a few twists and turns and a little scandal. You will not regret reading "Linnette, the Lioness,"Duchessess of London" series.Linnette is really a Lioness when she needs to be and James her Lion. A must read and a keeper. This book was received for the purpose of review from Net Galley and the publisher.Details can be found at Avon,an imprint of Harper Collins Publishing and My Book Addiction Reviews.

    cute series of novelettes!

I read all four and then Kent's debut novel. All were good reading, entertaining with just the right amount of spice.
