Editorial Reviews

Children's Literature - Erika Clark
Blue Truck is sliding on ice and is in trouble. But he does not need to worry. Green Truck and Dump Truck see him dangerously gliding on the ice. Both trucks use their special abilities to problem solve a way to stop Blue Truck from sliding. A great beginner-level story for Spanish speakers and those who are learning Spanish as a foreign language for the first time. The Spanish text is written directly below or beside the English text for learners who are building literacy in both languages. In addition, the reader can refer to the colorful pictures to help him or her accurately predict potential unfamiliar words on every page. Also, the author provides helpful vocabulary at the end of the text, which will be essential for building pre-reading strategies to assist lower-level readers problem solve, read, and pronounce challenging words. Reviewer: Erika Clark; Ages 4 to 8.
