Meet the Author

Sandra Marton is a USA Today Bestselling Author with approximately 35,000,000 (and counting!) books in print in twenty-plus languages. Sandra’s Harlequin Presents novels all feature the sexy, gorgeous, complex, tough on the outside but tender on the inside Alpha heroes she loves to create. So do all her brand new single title novels: The Prince of Pleasure, Emily: Sex & Sensibility (The Wilde Sisters, book one), Jaimie: Fire & Ice (The Wilde Sisters, book two) and, coming soon, Lissa: Sugar & Spice (The Wilde Sister, book three).

Sandra has won the Holt Medallion. She’s been a finalist for the Romance Writers of America prestigious RITA award four times. She’s won eight Romantic Times Magazine Reviewers’ Choice Awards and was honored with their Career Achievement Award for Series Romance.

Sandra always dreamed of becoming a writer. She wrote poems when she was little, moved on to writing short stories by the time she was in university. She was graduated with Honors in English but, she says, life—a lovely one—intervened with her writing dream. She married, had a family, became active politically in the small town outside New York City where she and her husband lived. Then, one day, she paused long enough to realize her dream was getting away from her and decided to do something about it.

Sandra wrote her very first novel, a romance she called Rapture in the Sands. She sent a synopsis and one chapter to several publishers. A senior editor at Harlequin liked what she’d read and asked to see the rest. After revisions, Harlequin Mills and Boon Ltd bought and published the book.

Today, Sandra is a full time author. She lives in northern Connecticut with her husband, who was her childhood sweetheart, in a sun-drenched house surrounded by woods.

Two broken people for two very different reasons. From different worlds, they have the commonalities that could be a potential game changer. Meet Lissa and Nick.

Lissa is a young woman who has been defined by her wealthy and successful family.  Well, she decided that she would change that and break out on her own. Lissa decided to go to Le Cordon Bleu and become a chef. After her first few experiences in the culinary world aren't what she wants, she lands the dream job, executive chef. Her current interest decided to open a restaurant and asked her to head it up for him, until he proves to be the biggest of all of her previous jerks. Now she is guy-less, jobless, and almost hopeless. Until she gets a promising call from her tricky agent.

Nick is a major actor. He's been in many movies on the big screen and has a huge fan following, one that he is now hiding from. He has turned into someone he doesn't really recognize and isn't sure he'd want to. Hiding out in the remote area he is, he needs a down to earth cook for his ranch. When he contacts and agency, he is assured that he is getting a cook that can handle rustic dishes without problem. When Nick meets Lissa, he isn't impressed, and he is almost positive he's been duped.

As Nick and Lissa but heads at every turn, they aren't sure what will follow when the weather turns into their mutual enemy. Can Lissa prove herself to Nick? Can she stand the weather long enough not to strangle him? What about Nick, can he remember the rules of civility to get Lissa into the kitchen? Find out how things turn out in this witty banter filled, whirlwind they find themselves in.   ~Desiree ~AVC Proofreading

Lissa: Sugar and Spice by Sandra Marton
This is the story of Nick the famous, handsome, sexy actor who’s gone missing from the world of film. Nick had a terribly sad secret and has been hiding from the world since the accident left him with a mangled leg. Lissa has had her reputation tarnished by a man she thought loved her, but instead used her. How these two misfits got together is awesome and I totally enjoyed the ride. I think this story of the last Wilde family members is my very favorite. I give this book five stars because I couldn’t wait to reach the end and find out what happened and at the same time I didn’t want it to end. So romantic I wanted to cry! Best part is that the Wilde family saga continues because the general has another set of kids! Italian kids and I can’t wait to read those stories.

The age old adage was right. ¿If it sounds too good to be true,

The age old adage was right. “If it sounds too good to be true, it usually is”. That's what Lissa found out with this latest “executive chef position”. With a deadbeat job, no better prospects in the future and her professional reputation in shreds, the position quoted from her agent sounded perfect. Only the hype and the reality were not the same. Hype: live at a fancy dude ranch or fancy resort where the rich went to have fun with hot tubs, fire pits and luxury accommodations, be able to do American cooking with locally grown ingredients, and make contacts with potential restaurant owners. Reality: live at a broken-down ranch, feed six starving cowboys, tolerate one grouchy, arrogant, sexy, reclusive owner and accommodate a big, beautiful Newfoundland. Reality was a whole lot different from the hype, but was that all she found there? She didn't think so. Had she finally found the “ONE” or would he turn out to be just like all the others, selfish and self serving?

Disillusioned and injured, Nick had returned to the family ranch. With the shattering of all his dreams, he had become rude, insolent, despicable, and elusive from all who knew him. Oblivion was what he was chasing: from the memories of the accident, the sudden ending of his career, fear of an interfering, pitying public, and the bombardment of too many regrets for what he had lost, but a blonde, green eyed, feisty, and determined dynamo changed all his perceptions. From the first sassy, indignant greeting, she had begun to change all his perceptions. Was the bubble they existed in destined to be a step to forever or would reality pop the thin membrane and come flooding in? Could there be a “happily ever after” for them or would unforeseen circumstances force them apart?

From the first pages of Lissa's “pity party” to the last climatic firework ending, this exciting story was written in the famous Sandra Marton style. A well written plot was inter-weaved with very well developed characters. This story was a constant page turner. Secondary characters, including the famous “Wilde Clan” provided a perfect background to the story of searching for that elusive eternal love. I laughed, cried, and sympathized with both Lissa and Nick on their incredible journey to this love.

And the ending...what a fabulous surprise!!!! Can't wait to read future novels by this amazing author. Well done, Sandra Marton, well done!!!

I would recommend this to all romance readers.

5/5 stars Just what had she gotten herself into...???

Loved it so much I hated for it to end...This book about Nick and Lissa was wonderful and not only entertaining but sensitive.  It also showed that just because you feel you are a failure it might only be  so in your eyes.  I hope this series is continued since they just found more family because I would buy them without hesitation.

Sandra Marton does it again! Sandra creates another wonderful member of the Wilde family. Our love interests in this book are Lissa Wilde(an out of work chef) and Nick Gentry(an injured actor in hiding). From their first initial meeting the sparks and tempers fly! They are two people both hurting from past circumstances and situations. I encourage you to purchase this book for the rest of the story to find out what happens between these two, you will not be disappointed, I wasn't!! Oh! As for the ending, what a fantastic twist!! Get the book you'll find out!! Sandra Marton certainly knows how to keep a readers interest. What a talented author!

    Ran out of gas...

Really looked forward to the story of the last Wilde sister, and must say it wasn't worth the wait. I enjoyed the first two books, but this book did not hold my attention. I kept waiting for it to draw me in, but this one did not catch my attention. I was glad when the story ended and I didn't feel that way after reading the previous books. This book did not leave me wanting more, the trilogy ended with a whimper. Mabe she's saving it for the little bomb she dropped at the end of the book.

She's beautiful. She's talented. She's smart. She's stubborn as a goat. She's prideful as only a Wilde can be! She's determined to fix her life and do it without her family ever knowing it was broken.

He's gorgeous. He's a household name. He's cranky and snarly. He's buried his head in the sand and he's the only one who doesn't know it. Barely hanging on, yet not quite ready to give up.

Their worlds collide when a slightly devious (HA! slightly, lol) common acquaintance manipulates them both. The sparks start flying immediately. Their unknowing mediator? A huge dog named Brutus!

You'll find yourself giggling, outright laughing, and ok, I'll admit it, at least one inappropriate laugh (sorry Nick!). You'll experience the sadness and the betrayal and the struggle they go through as they learn about themselves and each other. You'll get to hang out with the rest of the Wilde gang as they gather to protect and defend their Melissa! Join Nick and Lissa as they fight for their HEA!!

We won't even talk about the HUGE and SHOCKING surprise!!

Sandra Marton takes us on a Wilde ride yet again. Throughout the series I fallen in love with each of the Wilde siblings and their mates.

Wonderful ending to a great trilogy!
Sandra Marton did it again! I love the fiery chemistry between Nick and Lissa. He's not that easy to deal with
but she's no pushover, either. The outcome? Hot passionate love with never a dull moment.
Plus a totally unexpected but greatly appreciated surprise ending!!!
