All Music Guide - Arwulf Arwulf
There are numerous Ted Heath albums parading around wearing the title Listen to My Music. Several of these are part of a series released during the late '90s by the Hep record label, surveying in detail the early recordings of this solid, often exciting British big band. Vocals are attributed to Heath's drummer, Jack Parnell. One prime participant in the postwar English big-band scene was tenor saxophonist Tommy Whittle, an essential component in the Ted Heath band from 1946 to 1952. His work with Heath as documented on this disc deserves wider recognition.
