School Library Journal
Like Adamsons Literature Connections to American History Libraries Unlimited, 1997, these books sort through the wealth of material on world history for children and teens and organize it in ways that teachers and librarians will find both logical and accessible. Each volume has three sections. The first is a series of book lists organized by continent and historical period. Each segment is further divided into grade levels and arranged by genres: historical fiction, biography, history, and multimedia CD-ROMs and videos. Many entries appear on several lists. The second and largest section is the annotated bibliography of resources organized by format. The entries are arranged alphabetically by author and include full citations, recommended ages, synopses, and awards. Author/illustrator, title, and subject indexes make up the third section.
