Editorial Reviews

Virginia Haviland
A find, of proved success with the child who has first-grade reading skill. The story of Little Bear's imaginative play feels far removed from controlled vocabulary; Maurice Sendak's drawings give it special distinction. . .

Great stories to read to little ones. Did not like the flimsy box the books come in as in "boxed set". Otherwise, love it.

I read these books to my children and now I'm buying them for the next generation. Little Bear is just so adorable.

Taking the advice of the public library where this series is checked out continually, I purchased the set for a granddaughter. She was delighted with the stories and illustrations and read them over and over. Highly recommended.

This is my favorite children's book collection. The stories are sweet and there is always a lesson to be learned. All children would love these! I read these to my little one when he was little and loved to watch the t.v. show versions of them. Now he's 18 and I kept these books for him so that he can pass them down to his kids and read to them.....not yet but someday :)
