Overview

An easy to follow, step by step dermatology manual organized by chief complaint, body part or condition, rather than by disease. It focuses on the diagnostic methods and action strategies for those skin conditions that can be resolved in the primary care office.

This is a concise, illustrated, pocket manual for dermatologic diagnosis and treatment. Like the other books in the Little Black Book series, this is designed to fit the needs of primary care physicians and trainees by answering the fundamental questions of: What is it? How do I treat it? Do I need to refer this patient? The book is entirely problem-oriented and follows the standard Little Black Book series format, consisting of condensed information on epidemiology, course, signs and symptoms, labs, and differential diagnosis as well as therapy for each illness. Hundreds of schematic line drawings are provided, each with a complementary clinical photo to graphically depict the location and appearance of skin disorders. References are included that support recommendations with current literature. This book is packed with information explaining a wide range of skin problems encountered in daily practice.
