Decent Little Guide, Awful e-book Edition

It's a shame, because it is a great, well-written guide. The e-book edition is terrible. Until publishers are willing to format art for e-readers, travel guide books via readers will be only partially useful. The maps in this version are so tiny and unreadable, they're useless. Great, interesting writing, nicely organized, and yet not worth buying in e-reader format.

Both the content and the Nook interface are poor. The book contains some useful information but really lacks were you need information. Some restaurant descriptions do not even tell you what kind of food is served, none give any incite into the quality or expense. The maps are too small and show only numbers at the location of landmarks. No easy way is provided to back and forth between the site number legend and the map. The Nook app does not do the book any favors. Tapping the screen is gesture to turn the page, select link to other pages for more information, and to bring out the "dropdown menu" that allow you t see what page your are on access the table of content, etc. Since this one gesture does all these things you never know which one o are going to get. Odds are you do not get what you wanted and you have to figure out how o get back where you were so you can try again, often to fail a second or third time.

    Crap!

I was intrigued by this title and purchased it after looking over the sample. What a rip! The book does not work and is completely useless.
