Editorial Reviews

Children's Literature - Laura Hummel
Fifty stories from the Bible are included in a book that is especially meant to appeal to very young boys. Catchy titles such as "Here Kitty, Kitty," " Ghost Man Walking," and "No Leg to Stand On" tell stories ranging from Adam and Eve to the life of Jesus. Each story is five pages in length and very simply written, using present day language. "Boys, get up! Dad needs your help" begins the tale of Noah and his ark. Each selection is followed by a page of questions to ponder and another page for moms to use to reinforce the lesson and share similar life experiences. Colorful illustrations are included on each page and children will enjoy finding the whimsical angel hidden in each. Young children, both boys and girls, will easily understand the simple text, thus it would be a good beginning source for religious and moral education.
