WHAT A WONDERFUL LITTLE BOOK THIS IS!

This is a very engaging little story... The author has loaded this work with very simple sight words. These words are building block words and must be known and recognized and understood before a child can progress... Along with the story and the usage of these sight words, the author has included wonderful little flash cards at the end of the book.
This work, would be ideal for those who have chosen home schooling for their children.

Meet the Author

I am the proud mother of two boys and one girl all just a few years apart. My oldest son is just starting to read and what does he want to read more than anything else? My Kindle! I tried to find some inexpensive, easy readers for the Kindle that emphasized sight words but didn't find many... which is why I created the Easy-Peasy Series. The story books are designed to focus on simple words and to repeat them frequently. The result is an engaging story that even a beginning reader can enjoy reading "easy-peasy" (his phrase, not mine)! Since then, the series has expanded to Spanish books, letter flash cards and even a few simple kindle games.

I hope you enjoy reading these books with your children as much as I have enjoyed reading them with mine. If you have any comments or suggestions, please let me know!

Its More Fun to Read on YOUR Nook!

I am the proud mother of a little boy who is learning to read. And of course, he wants to read, just like I do - electronically (I have a phone, an eBook reader, my PC, etc). I tried to find some inexpensive, easy readers that emphasized sight words but didn't find many... which is why I created the Easy-Peasy Series. These books are designed to focus on simple words and to repeat them frequently in the story. Then, to ensure the child can actually read the word (and hasn't simply memorized the story) sight word flash cards are included at the end of the book. The result is an engaging story that even a beginning reader could enjoy reading "easy-peasy" (his phrase, not mine)!

Now, my son has been reading these books over and over - on my phone, my computer, anywhere that is "just like Mom". I hope you enjoy reading this with your child as much as we do. If you have any comments or suggestions, please let me know!

One recommendation - when you child is reading electronically, try to vary the font (some devices, have this option). I alternate between "sans-serif" (more common on computers / electronics) and "serif" fonts (more common in traditional media like books and newspapers). This will help them learn to recognize both fonts. Since studies have found that the detail in the "serif" font design are easier and faster to read the flashcards are all written in a large "serif" font.

    Okay

It comes with flash cards which is good, but it would be a better purchase once your child has gotten the hang of a few sight words. It is a better choice than the meet the sight words series especially for beginners.
