An illustrated version of the Christmas carol about the procession to Bethlehem and the offer of a poor boy to play his drum for the Christ Child.

This is the classic tale of a young boy who wants to present a gift to the infant king and discovers what he has in his posession is the greatest gift. This story teaches children how to look within to find the true meaning of the season. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. I purchased Ezra Jack Keats' Little Drummer Boy for our 3 year old grandson this Christmas. This was a wonderful story to share to help him visualize the rum-pum-pum of the song as he played with the nativity set we had given him. There were many editions on the market but the Keats edition was a 'must have' to add to the bookshelf in our grandson's room. His mother has all of the books she grew up with and now, this book will have a prized position among the rest of the Ezra Jack Keats' books she shares with our grandson. This story and song were perfect this year as we encourage our grandson that each of us has something wonderful to share with the world if we only try to be the best person we can be.Was this review helpful?
