I love Roberts by either name she wishes to write under and swear by her books. Some are better than others but I find same with ALL authors. These stories need to remain where they were originally published...in the Once Upon series. They flowed better with the rest of the anthology.

The three stories that make up A Little Fate are originally from the Once Upon A ... Collections written by Roberts, Gregory, Langan and Willman. They read better when set in those settings because of the theme between the 4 stories in each book of the collection. I recommend that they be read w/in that context.

Nora Roberts is one of my favorite authors and when I purchased this book I had expected a little more. She has a knack for stories involving magic. Her descriptive skills are amazing, but this book just didn't fit what I had been expecting. The stories just seem to be missing something. I wouldn't suggest this book off the top of my head, but it wasn't horrible.

I have been a fan for years and I have most of her books. Like any other book I found it to have its ups and its downs. However, I love her stories of magic and fate. I find her to possess a great ability in taking the unbelievable and making it into a story you can enjoy. This one did exactly that.
