Wonderful story with broad appeal for a wide range of ages

Most children love dog stories, especially cute puppy ones, and this one is so universal. Whether your child has a dog or dreams of bringing one home, the delightful rhyming style and darling pictures will delight ! Prereaders love listening to this and third graders love reading it to themselves! The illustrations are adorable. It is a very simple story, about a young girl choosing her new puppy and the anxiety that puppy experiences in leaving one home for the next. Nothing scary or upsetting, just a soothing tale with a feel-good ending.
