'Little Longnose'' - is a work by the German writer and short-story writer W. Hauff (1802 - 1827). This fairy tale, published in 1826, is one of the best author's works. The idea of it - is the triumph of the richness of the inner world above the outer, the role of friendship in human's life. A boy Jacob is stolen by the witch and turned into an ugly dwarf. Having escaped from the witch, he tries to come back to his parents, but they do not recognize their son. Being desperate, Jacob becomes the king's chef and saves the goose - the charmed girl. Their friendship helps them to unspell each other. The fairy tale is full of optimism and faith in better times.
