Meet the Author

J. M. Barrie (1860-1937) was a Scottish author and playwright. He was involved in the early twentieth-century attempts to overcome state censorship of the arts. Drawing inspiration from the Lewely Davies family (who had five boys), Barrie is best known as the creator of Peter Pan, the boy who wouldn't grow up.

Have read many copies from many libraries and have FINALLY found an affordable copy until I can muster the cash for a First Edition. For an adult, more fun than his 'Peter Pan' with diverse, witty characters and a big, painless peek into another time and culture. Even the dialects are fun.
