Editorial Reviews

Children's Literature - Marilyn Courtot
The color pink seems to be "in" at the moment. Princesses, cupcakes, dresses for young girls all feature pink, but as this book shows, other things are also pink. The pigs pictured are pink, the roses are pink and so is the flesh of a watermelon. The latter have a scratch and sniff element, while others in the book offer tactile elements like the fluffy hair of a piglet, and the texture of knitted yarn. The two surprises are a pink ribbed seashell—most tend to be white and sometimes tan but not really bright pink along the mid-Atlantic coast, and a sunset that really looks almost purple. There is not much outstanding about this touch and feel board book. Reviewer: Marilyn Courtot
