Editorial Reviews

Children's Literature - Marilyn Courtot
Little Quack and Widdle assist kids in learning to count from one to five and backwards from five to one. They set out on an adventure and the text is nothing to get excited about. They see "1 butterfly," "2 fish," and eventually "5 bees. The latter sends them off in a big hurry back home past "4 frogs," and "3 dragon flies" until they end up safely with "1 Mama Duck." The pictures are the story and they clearly show the adventure—the little ducklings fear at encountering the bees and their mad dash to the safety of home. It is all packaged in a super sturdy board book with a padded cover featuring Little Quack, a character kids have come to love. Reviewer: Marilyn Courtot
