Editorial Reviews

Children's Literature - Marilyn Courtot
Once again Little Quack and his brother, this time Piddle, are exploring the world around then. As they move about their world, they see the blue sky, play in white sand, and spy yellow buttercups, red ladybugs, green moss, and more. What makes this books so appealing is the personality and energy that radiate from Little Quack and Piddle. In addition, the scenes are amusing. Picture Piddle with orange butterflies perched on his feet and the two brothers playing in the oozy brown mud. The type font is used to emphasize each color. It is a delightful way to learn about colors. Other books in the series include ABCs, counting and opposites. Part of the "Super Chubby" series. Reviewer: Marilyn Courtot

    Little Quack is a cutie

This book has the cutest of book characters, Little Quack. The illustrations and just darling and are so bright. The other character in the book is Piddle. Piddle is a little larger than Little Quack, and if you are reading this series for the first time, it is hard to tell them apart. Colors are very nice, but if you are looking for a book to truly teach colors, this may not be the one. One is example is the page with the red ladybugs. The ladybugs are a very small portion of the page, and there are a number of other colors on the page. Other colors of the objects in the book are a blue sky, white sand (with a lot of gold/tan), yellow buttercups, green moss, orange butterflies, purple lilies, black ants, and brown mud.
