Editorial Reviews

Children's Literature - Marilyn Courtot
Cindy is so excited she is getting her first pair of skates and will be starting skating lessons. Her classes take place outdoors on a pond. All winter long, Kathy, the instructor works with the kids teaching them how to fall, and how to skate alone and in a group. The older kids at the pond help out. After many weeks the new skaters give a performance for their parents and are rewarded with a silver skate pin. Sheehan captures all of the tumbles, misgivings and successes of these little skaters in her colorful photographs. A good book for those kids who want to get out on the ice and may also be starting their first skating lessons.
