I've always liked these books. I bought them for my nook because it is one of my favorite series and they are just comforting to have to read whenever I want. I'm new the the nook world. I have read other reviews that sometimes a series of books bought all together don't open well and freeze the nook. I can say this hasn't done that (to me, anyway).

I have read all three of these books, several times, whilst growing up. I love this trilogy and love them all the better for the convenience of being able to carry them around easily on my nook! As a child they provided hope, fun, encouragement and an introduction to life. As an adult, they provide a doorway to remembered childhood moments, further hope for a bright future and reminders of life lessons. It is a great series for everyone to read, for it is truly a timeless treasure.

I'm not a fan of old books but this one took the cake. Most are dry and boring (at least from the same era as this), but not this trilogy! Very unpredictable, exciting, sad, funny, joyous, and sentimental all wrapped into three perfect novels. These great tales of growing up are wonderful classics not at all like the dreadful and boring "classics" you are forced to read in 10th grade English. A suitable read for any age and totally reccommended for everyone! -Rielle A.M. Christies

This book is a great book. It is one of the best books that I've ever read. Louisa May Alcott is the next great Shakespeare.

I recently took on the challenge of reading the four books of the Little Women Collection: Little Women, Little Women Part 2 (aka Good Wives), Little Men and Jo's Boys, as part of a "May Reading Challenge" blog post. Let's face it, if you are a Baby Boomer, most girls read at least Little Women when they are growing up . This was one of my favs as a kid. Alcott remains a favorite author, however, with age comes wisdom and the realisms that she can be rather pedantic and a bit moralistic; especially in the later two(Little Men and Jo's Boys). Still worth reading in the long run

Little Women is about finding hope and dreaming every minute for something great to happen. These for girls are not just poor, but gifted too. - Carolyn Frost
