The Littlest Warrior

Overview

The Littlest Warrior is a book about HOPE and ANTICIPATION. Life will never, on this earth, be free of sorrow and loss-both of which were factors in the writing of this book. Sharp turns we could never expect may toss us into stormy seas that we are not prepared to navigate; and one of the worst imaginable is the loss of a child. In times like these, God and heaven are far away.

Your tears may flow as this tiny soul is whisked away; but you will travel with him to a place where goodness and pleasure are plentiful; where dreams are reality and love flourishes; where worry and disappointment will never cloud his days. Let your spirit be lifted to a new level of faith and expectancy as you hear his laughter and witness the sheer delight of his captivating cherub-to-youth adventures. Come with me to another realm, where the possibilities are endless; a place of unparalleled beauty and profound peace; where God lives; and where loved ones wait to greet us at our journey's end.

Meet the Author

Rebecca Faith Howell lives in Boise, ID where she met and married her church camp sweetheart 39 years ago. Jim and Becca have two children and seven grand children (six on earth and one in Heaven), all of whom provide story material on a regular basis! Coming from a strong Christian heritage, Becca remembers meeting Jesus in her early childhood as she knelt beside her mother in their family living room. Looking back upon the varied experiences of her past, she is ever more grateful for the heritage of faith upon which her life was built and for which she was named. She will tell you that, "Any life can supply writing material, but only a life with Jesus as Lord can promise happy endings." Her life verse is taken from the book of Proverbs, verses five and six of chapter three, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths." [NKJ]

Becca writes stories, poetry, songs, inspirational and devotional articles and study materials to lift the spirits of her readers and to bring hope to the wounded heart. Her purpose is to bring sunshine and fresh air where life's drudgery has left shadows and smog. She enjoys writing for women and children most, with a touch of humor about life's bumps and dips. In addition to her writing Becca loves creative projects, which are often in progress somewhere in her house or garden; she keeps a notebook with her to capture the writing themes that life's regular adventures always provide.

Becca has published a novella called The Littlest Warrior, in loving memory of her fourth grandson who died pre-birth in April of 2007. Works in progress include a collection of stories for young moms, The Mommy Chronicles; a book of children's poetry; an allegory called ¬Mansion of My Dreams which is part of her life story; a collection of seasonal children's stories; and her website, www.PrismOfLife.com, which is still under construction but will regularly feature excerpts of all genres in her portfolio.

Becca says it always came natural for her to write about everything, but when someone thanked her for putting into writing what they had never been able to say she adopted this motto: "You are not an author because the world decides to publish your work; you are an author when you realize that God has made you the voice for others whose thoughts and feelings are lost for words."
