What grounded Romanek throughout her peripatetic childhood was her ability to make any new space "home" by decorating and personalizing it with special treasures and mementos that had meaning in her life.

Paltrow is a close friend and client, and she has also penned the foreword. Romanek has created stunning designs for several of Paltrow's homes, including her lovely Montecito home featured on the cover.

About the Author

Brigette Romanek is an award-winning interior designer based in Los Angeles. She has been named in Architectural Digest's coveted AD100 list for several years in a row as well as in Elle Decor's "A List." Her star-studded clientele includes Gwyneth Paltrow, Beyoncé and Jay Z, Demi Moore, Misty Copeland, Ryan Coogler, and Christian Bale, to name just a few. Her projects have been featured in every major shelter magazine, and she was a featured judge on Ellen DeGeneres's show Ellen's Next Great Designer on HBO Max. Romanek has also created a custom line of furniture and lighting for Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams. 

Gwyneth Paltrow is an Academy Award–winning actress and the founder of the renowned lifestyle brand Goop.
