Live at Birdland

Editorial Reviews

Barnes & Noble - Steve Futterman
New York City can be thankful for a lot of things, and the proximity of Barbara Carroll is, for jazz fanciers, high on the list. On this beautifully recorded live album, Carroll demonstrates her inimitable talents as a captivating pianist and charming vocalist. In her own understated way, Carroll is one of jazz piano's champions, with unimpeachable touch and taste. And her personalized way with a vocal is nothing less than enchanting. For lovers of mainstream jazz -- be they New Yorkers or those who lack the opportunity to catch Carroll in person -- Live at Birdland is a must-have.
