Denver Post - John Wenzel
The album rarely flags in its consistency or quality.... Gloriously crisp, painstakingly preserved stereo.

If you never heard Aretha Franklin sing or wonder why she is the QUEENS OF SOUL, listen carefully to this live recording. Unlike listening to an artist in the studio, live, there is truth. I mean, no techno dub-overs and no faking the voice. this is Aretha raw. The power and articulation of her delivery, the patience she takes with each verse sets her apart from any vocalist of her day. The energy you can feel will bring "goose-bumps". I highly recommend this recording to anyone who ever questions " what is soul".
