I adore James Taylor and Carole King. For those who like live performances and when artists play around and change up their old songs, then this album is for you. Personally I prefer the original versions and that's what I wnat to hear. I loved Machine Gun Kelly and it didn't even sound like the same song and I hated it. Fire and Rain didn't even sound that good. Sorry. Buy the original albums.

Watching the DVD was like stepping back in time. Very nostalgic; and yet it fits like a piece for a present-day jigsaw puzzle. I can hardly wait to listen to the CD now; which I'm sure will be brilliant, just as the DVD is. Also, I recommend listening to any of their past recordings for the sheer enjoyment of it. Carole King and James Taylor have shared a friendship and many songs before and during their 30+ years of solo careers; so it makes sense to share the stage again, after all this time!

Oh how I was looking forward to this duo, but unfortunately the duo should have been a solo. James Taylor sings his tunes with the timely simplistic beauty he is known for, however the years have not been as kind to Ms. King. Her very first song, she falters at the beginning, and since it is a live show, this mistake, as well as her others, cannot not be "fixed." I did not harbor false expectations that they would sound as they did in the 70's, but when such a soft rock legend as Carole King takes the stage, she should be prepared to please the audience with a fairly strong performance. In fact her strained voice is clearly noticeable that James chimes in with harmony on a couple of her songs in an effort to improve or rather detract from King's weaknesses. I also enjoy James' personal anecdotes. Overall, it's a pleasure to to be whisked back to the days gone by, but don't expect the "old" Carole King... just expect an "older" Ms. King. James is still fine.

The collaboration makes for great listening and even singing along...Most of the music is classic but done in an updated manner..Easy listening anywhere...Timeless...makes a great gift for those of all ages...

This is a wonderful concert DVD and audio CD for a very reasonable price. It is great to see Carole King and James Taylor together. The use of the original musicians in the band was quite ingenious. Over all a must have for either Carole King or James Taylor fans.

One of the best reunion CD's of all time. Both Carole King and James Taylor are great solo artists, and together on this CD they still have all their talent and charm. It is such a bonus to get a DVD of the reunion concert at the Troubadour included on a 2nd disc. If you like live concerts with singing and talking, this is one of the best.

Wonderful! You will not be disappointed with this in your music collection. Both Carol King and James Taylor are still in fine voice. The songs are the ones loved from the 70's. They are touring and I wish I had known about the tour in time to get tickets. My neighbor heard me playing the CD and commented that "this was his type of music". I am more of a rocker, but alwayed loved carol & james.
