Overview

In and out of foster care her whole life, Tiffany Ennis has never had space or privacy, so housesitting a mansion on the coast of Maine with only the absentee rich owner’s dog for company is pure bliss. But her peace is shattered when the owner returns to his compound unexpectedly. Tiffany finds him to be sexy and intriguing, showing an interest in her that must be mocking, given that everyone’s always told her she’s plain, nothing special.

Devin Gold, known in the music industry as Gold Daddy, is usually in New York City attending drop parties and having men and women alike throw themselves at him, and Tiffany wishes he’d stayed there. There’s no reason for a top producer to hole up in Maine in the dead of winter, and every time she turns around he’s asking her prying questions. She finds herself starting to enjoy their intellectual conversations and clever sparring matches. In a hot minute she’s falling for him. Even knowing that he’s a decade older, filthy rich, and could only want her for his momentary amusement.

Yet even when he hosts beautiful and confident guests from the city, he still seems to prefer her company, and is protective when odd things start happening around the house. But how far is Tiffany willing to go with a man who is still very much married, estranged wife or not, just to feel special?

The solace she sought…
Becomes an affair she never expected...
And all the lines between past and present and right and wrong are blurred…

I really loved this book. I think that it had a great storyline as well a some unique aspects to it. I really enjoyed the dynamic between the characters. I loved how the major age gap between the characters wasn’t creepy. You would have thought that the age gap would have made the story be a turn off point. But the way Tiffany was portrayed to be very mature and independent I never really noticed that they were so far apart in age. I did however find a few details that were incorrect, but nothing that was detrimental to the story, i.e., Lamborghinis don’t have back seats and Devin’s career details were a little off in some parts. These are things the generally most people wouldn’t notice. I however, I happen to be really into cars and work in the entertainment business and that is why I noticed these details. Overall, I loved this story and would recommend it. Erin is an AMAZING writer!

I read this book in one sitting, I couldn't put it down, it was that good... Live for Me is the second book of the Blurred Lines series by Erin McCarthy and as much as I loved the first book, You Make Me, I think the second book is my favorite so far. Tiffany Ennis is as good of a person as you'll ever meet, her life has been nothing but a series of foster homes, some good and some bad, and disappointments from the people she should have been able to trust above all others. But despite all that, Tiffany is a delightful mix of innocence and worldly knowledge. After her grandma kicks her out into the streets, she finds a job house sitting a mini mansion for a rich old man music producer who only visits the house a few times a year, which is heaven to a very downtrodden Tiffany. On her first night on the job she meets the rich old man who unexpectedly comes to visit and she finds that Devin Gold is not old at all and he's also very attractive. Despite their age difference and the completely opposite lifestyles they've lead thus far, feelings deepen as they get to known each other. I felt like this story was emotionally deeper then the previous one in the fact that both characters have gone through situations where they learned that trust was something earned not just given, the struggle to open themselves up to each other was very real and tugged at the heart stings. Tiffany is trying to figure herself out when she meets Devin and her struggle to find herself and not be sucked up into the powerful personality that is Devin made the story that much more real and emotional, at times I was frustrated with the autocratic way Devin acted but overall it was impossible not to love both characters. Live for Me is another fantastic read by Erin McCarthy, you definitely won't be disappointed when you read this book, or any other book she has written.

Live For Me is the second book in the Blurred Lines Series and once I started I could not book this book down. You Make Me, book 1 in the series was great but this one I think is my favorite by far. I loved Tiffany. She's a great girl whose been in and out of foster homes. Just like with everything else, some homes where good and some bad. For someone so young she has an older spirit. After her grandmother kicks her out to live on the streets (man that ticked me off. I thought family was supposed to look out for each other.) she finds a job house sitting for a rich old man that only comes by a few times a year which is perfect for Tiffany until she finds out that the rich old man isn't very old at all and his name is Devil Gold.

I loved the interaction between the two of them. It felt raw and emotional and found myself having a box of tissues handy. I always say if a book makes me cry then its damn good in my opinion even if I did want to smack Devin upside the head a few times. Overall its a great read and I really look forward to the next one. If you've never read any of Erins books before then pick up this series. You won't be disappointed.

Loved this book! Tiffany has led a difficult life.....Devin has not been so lucky in love! They both deserves love & finds a fairy tale ending! I had a hard time believing some of the story line but it was a one-sitting-nail-bitter-cheering-on-the-love type of story!

This book is horrible. I stupidly trusted the reviews listed below. Neither character is endearing. Both are whiny and immature.
Both act like teenagers. She is supposed to be a mature 19 year old, yet she forgives a man who is actually married and who allows
his friends to do drugs in the house. I am actually forcing myself to finish this book and I truly hope that book 3 of the series is better.
I am glad people were actually honest about the 1st book so I saved myself money by not purchasing it.

Love Erin McCarthy's books. this one was different. Quick read but it packed in everything: angst, sadness, loneliness, chemistry, respect, wisdom and a HEA. The heroine is only 18 or 19 but has had to grow up fast and her life has lacked love. She is not a quitter or a whiner. Gotta respect her. The hero seems to have it all but does he? He is older by a decade but does it really matter? No it does not. Enjoy.

    HOLY FREAKIN WOW!

I absolutely LOVED this book. Erin does an amazing job of making you feel intence emotions in her writing. I loved Tiffany. She is strong, intelligent and innocent at the same time. My heart actually ached for her for the way her grandmother treated her and to find out how she grew up in foster care. I'm not sure I could heve been as forgiving as her. Devin can be a total ass one minute then be sweet and thoughtful the next. The chemistry between Devin and Tiffany is off the charts hot. Tiffany let him know right from the start she was not a pushover and she wasn't gonna be ordered around. I really wish this story would have been longer. The ending was really rushed. 169 pages was not enough to get to the heart of Tiffany's relationship with her father and her life with Devin. I still highly recommend this book to everyone.

Live For Me is another good example of why Erin McCarthy is a must read author for me. She hits it out of the park every time. I completely loved this 2nd book in the Blurred Lines Series. I thought that Tiffany and Devin were both wonderful characters, and I enjoyed watching their relationship develop. The storyline kept me interested, and I became so caught up that I read the book in one sitting.

Live For Me is the story of what happens when Tiffany Ennis, a girl who has been shuffled among foster homes for most of her life, and then used badly by a grandmother who kicks her out, is hired as a house sitter for an absentee owner of a mansion on the coast of Maine. When the owner makes an unexpected appearance at his vacation home, he and Tiffany are drawn together as they begin to know one another.

This book was very quick and easy to read, and I loved every second spent on it. The connection and chemistry between the main characters was great. I loved seeing the impact that Tiffany had on the jaded and older Devin. I'm already avidly awaiting the next book!

If you love a feel good story that will make you laugh and cry at the same time, this is your book! Erin Mccarthy gives us another winner with live for me! I honestly wanted to reach into the story and give Tiffany a huge hug. My favorite quote from the book was: "He ate all over the world in expensive restaurants and yet he practically motorboated the biscuits and gravy I had made." That made me laugh out loud.
