Live for You

Editorial Reviews

Barnes & Noble - Lisa Zhito
The hitmakers just keep getting younger all the time. Pop, country, bluegrass and blues have all spawned notable teen phenoms, so it seems only natural that the Christian music scene would produce an adolescent sensation of its own. Big-voiced star-in-the-making Rachael Lampa is a Colorado-bred 15-year-old blessed with impressively potent pipes, and she performs with the confident poise of a veteran on her Word debut Live for You. The budding diva's powerful voice is a sublime vehicle for the songwriting skills of Cindy Morgan, Brent Bourgeois and Chris Eaton, who wrote most of the album's songs. While the title track demonstrates Lampa's knack for Mariah Carey-style vocal acrobatics, she's equally impressive when employing a subtly emotive delivery on lower-key numbers like "Free." Move over Jaci Velasquez and Rebecca St. James, there's a new teen in town.
All Music Guide - Heather Phares
On her debut album Live for You, Rachael Lampa mixes her powerful yet sweet voice and pop and Latin elements into a a distinctive twist on CCM. Songs like "Shaken," "Blessed," "My Father's Heart," and the title track showcase the depth of Lampa's faith in a wide array of song styles ranging up-tempo pop to gentle ballads. Though it's hard to believe Lampa was just 15 when she recorded Live for You, it makes her debut that much more impressive.

    Amazing

Rachael Lampa is a really good singer, but it seems shes trying to hard on some of her songs.

    A Real Singer!

Rachel Lampa show incredible vocal talent! Her voice shins brighter than any mianstream artist like Britany Spears or Brandy. In both her upbeat tracks like "Live for You" and "Shaken" as well as her beautifully composed ballads such as "Blessed" and "Secret Place." I very highly recommend this alubum to anyone who truely appreicates musical talent. You don't have to be a Christain in order to be a huge fan! But don't be surprised if she lures you into it...

    an awesome cd!

i really enjoyed this cd...everything from slow ballads to fast upbeat dance songs....''Secret Place'' is probably my favorite song...it always brings me into a state of comfort with God whenever I listen to it...it explains how God wants to take the time to rest in a secret place with Him...this is definately a very moving cd
