About the Author

Gustavo Orozco is currently a substance use disorder (sud) counselor in San Diego, CA, and the founder of “Live in Freedom! Don’t Die in Silence! Ministries,” which is dedicated to reaching out to young people who are enslaved by addictions, such as, alcohol, other drugs, sex, money, or gambling. For the last twenty five years, he has dedicated his life to serving young people, working as youth pastor, school teacher or substance use disorder counselor.
Gustavo’s desire is that young people will choose to live in freedom, an exciting and amazing life without an addiction to mind altering drugs, or to other compulsive behaviors, so that they will live their life to the fullest. It is also his goal to reach out to the many young, and not so young, people who are already trapped in the Pit of Addictions and help them to get out and stay out of that destructive lifestyle, which destroys the life of people in every way, socially, spiritually, financially, emotionally and physically, as well as their families.
