    Almost Like Being There!

    This is a great album for anyone who has seen Scythian live, or wishes they had...it really captures the experience of the live show. It works out well that they recorded tracks from multiple performances, so they were able to pick out the ones with the best sound quality, crowd response, etc. - but it doesn't feel pieced together. I love that it has Hey Mama Ya, which I don't think is on any of the studio albums, and is one of my favorites. If you've never heard them before, though, don't be intimidated - this is not some obsucre "world music" album that will impress your friends but you'll never listen to - all of their music is very accessible and fun, and once you listen to this a few times, you'll want to make the trip to see them live!
