Walter Brueggemann is William Marcellus McPheeters Professor Emeritus of Old Testament at Columbia Theological Seminary in Decatur, Georgia. He is one of the world's leading interpreters of the Old Testament and the author of numerous books. Carolyn J. Sharp is Professor of Hebrew Scriptures at Yale Divinity School in New Haven, Connecticut. She is the author of many books, including Wrestling the Word, Old Testament Prophets for Today, and Irony and Meaning in the Hebrew Bible.
