Editorial Reviews

Unabridged Andra - Andra Lyn
Even though the main character is a 12-year-old, Rhiannon doesn't pull the punches at all when it comes to pure terror and the horror of the zombie apocalypse. I love zombie books and I read a ton of them so I've had my share of characters from children to adults, but not many of them succeded in freaking me out quite as well as The Living Dead Boy.
Aussie Zombie Book Reviews - Aussie Zombie
Rhiannon Frater knows how to writer for her intended audience - and she does this exceedingly well with The Living Dead Boy and The Zombie Hunters. There's a perfect mix of zombies, tension and drama, but it's certainly not overly gory or violent. Yeah, it's not all butterflies and picnics, but for today kids it's nothing more shocking than they would see on the evening news.
Yoyogod's Reviews of Books - Nathan Filizzi
This book has a great story. It's full of action and emotion. It also has a fair amount of gore and violence, so some people might not feel it's appropriate for their children. Personally, if I had kids, I'd let them read this. I'd even recommend it to adults, because this is a really good book.
Living Dead Media - Lori Bowland
These are remarkably well written characters, that act like real children and any parent will recognize these kids. Every zombie scene was horrifying and gory and the pace is exceptionally rapid, leaving the reader no time for any boredom. The story is gripping, moving, terrifying and fascinating. While this novel is directed toward a younger audience, any fan of zombie fiction will thoroughly take pleasure in reading.

    Love this author. Highly recommend.

This was a great, quick zombie read. Loved it. This is not a gory zombie story. It is geared toward younger readers unlike the author's other books. Adults will still like it though. The only thing I wish was that the story got a little more in depth with the characters and overall plot was fleshed out a bit more.

Also would like to highly recommend the author's "As the world dies" zombie Trilogy these are definately geared towards adult readers. There's more of a background and depth to the characters in this trilogy. You would not regret reading these. You will read them again and again.
