Living Gluten-Free for Dummies

Overview

Living Gluten-Free For Dummies, like all For Dummies books, is divided up so you don't have to read it all at once, or even front to back, if you don't want to. You can skip from B to R to A and even reread B if you want to. You can read it sideways and standing on your head if you'd like; all you have to do is find a section you're interested in and dig in (how's that for liberating?). I suggest you peruse the Table of Contents and see whether any particular chapter or subject really floats your boat, and start ...

I suggest you peruse the Table of Contents and see whether any particular chapter or subject really floats your boat, and start there. Or you can flip through the book and see whether any of the headings catch your interest. If you're new to the gluten-free lifestyle and have tons of questions, you're probably best off starting at Chapter 1 and working your way through most of the book in order. If you've been gluten-free for years, do yourself a favor and take a look at Chapter 4. You may be surprised at some of the foods that are allowed on the gluten-free diet that used to be considered no-nos. You may find this chapter opens a lot of cupboard doors that you once thought were closed!

    Living Gluten-Free for Dummies

Since being diagnosed with Celiac Disease, this is the A+ most valuable book I've found regarding all aspects of the disease - not just the eating part.

I bought a copy for each of my three adult children and strongly urger them to read it, too.

"Dummies" books are easy and fun reading. This one is also so so informative!

    Highly Recommended

A friend suggested this book when I had to go gluten free. I highly recommend it. It explains what gluten is and what goes along with celiac disease and gluten intolerance or sensitivity. It tells you the affect it has on you not only physical but emotionally as well. It has very helpful tips on how to eat healthy gluten free. It introduces you to new gluten free foods and also gives tips on how to cook gluten free as well as how to order in a restaurant that is not 100% gluten free. The book is written in a way where you feel the author is talking directly to you. The author also directs you to websites with accurate information about being gluten free. I found them very helpful. This book has really helped me in my journey to start a new gluten free lifestyle.
