Overview

The guilt Erin wears like a suit of armor over the death of her family is a burden she is unwilling to let go of. She maintains a daily existence to care for her autistic brother, Johnny, while friends help care for her, sometimes whether she likes it or not. She doesn't sleep because the nightmares are too vivid to allow her any resemblance of a restful night. Instead, she walks the streets, searching for forgiveness and peace. It is during one of these walks that she finds a very large dog who brings with him change—challenging Erin to love again, helping her to realize that she still has a life worth living. And when her brother vanishes, Erin looks to everyone for help, including her dog. It's a story about surviving tragedy, living with guilt, and finding love—all done with a twist of humor.
