    very helpful

For many people, Shakti Gawain's ground-breaking book was their first introduction to creative visualization and the use of affirmations. When I read this book 25 years ago, I was still practicing therapy the old fashioned way — it was my job to figure out what my client needed to do to make their life work better. As I absorbed the message of her book: When you learn to follow your own inner guidance, you can create a new life — everything changed. My goal became to help clients listen to themselves. One of the many tools I incorporated into the creative visualizations I use was hers: "This or something better." The visualizations, meditations and exercises are as valuable today as they were in 1986. — Julia Ingram, New Connexion Journal
