I work at a bookstore and about a year ago I wanted to find a book on basic Buddhist principles. I went to the section and was overwhelmed-I didn't know what to pick. I 'gave up' that day, and then a few days later I saw we were having an event in our store with a local Buddhist monk who had written a book on, guess what, introductory Buddhist principles. I went to the event, and was so inspired by Donald's short yet profound talk. I remember walking out of the store with a great sense of wellbeing. I know the universe was looking out for me and had led me to something really good. This book is a great find for anybody starting out. It is simple enough for a novice to understand, but it is also rich and complex-I have read many parts over again and learned something new that I hadn't seen before. Things are taught to us when we are ready, and this book came to me when I was ready for it. I highly recommend this book! Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback.
