More About This Book

Overview

We seldom live the life we thought or dreamed we would. Sometimes we get knocked down and sometimes the wheels come off completely. Our hopes and dreams are derailed or destroyed by choices we make or circumstances seemingly out of our control. We feel lost and alone. Isolated and wounded we wait for a solution to appear.
To get through the tough times, we seek relief. We soon find that neither quick fixes nor instant answers work. Our lives are broken and we don't know where to turn or how to put them back together again. Shattered pieces of plans, dreams, and relationships lie all around us.
In his book, Living YES in a NO World, Randy Gregg, who has been helping people overcome adversity for more than 35 years, shines light on a path that leads us from despair and dysfunction to encouragement and wholeness. It isn't one that is easily found or discovered. He doesn't do it alone though. It is in the authentic, compelling stories from people who have chosen YES who illuminate this path and remind us that we are not alone in this journey-new hopes and dreams lie ahead. In overhearing where others have stumbled, fallen and begun to live again, we hear the gentle whisper of "yes," that leads us in a new direction.

I have the privilege of working with the author's amazing daught

I have the privilege of working with the author's amazing daughter in a primary school. It has been a difficult year for our faculty. As we share life's struggles the title has become part of our vocabulary. People will say to one another, "That's really living YES in a no world", likewise in my home family. The author's honesty and wisdom is a wonderful guide for all of us. Live YES!

I enjoyed reading different stories about the people in the book

I enjoyed reading different stories about the people in the book. Some of the stories related to things in my life about my family. Through their stories, I've learned how to do things different in my life, and how to handle different situation as they happen within my family. Some of the stories taught me how to appreciate situation and deal with them a different way. I use the book as a resoure book for things that happen in today's world. The most important thing I've learned by reading the book is how to live yes in a no world!!!!

Simple answer...this book changed me. From the anecdotal stories the author shared to his optimistic yet authentic outlook on life, I felt myself wanting to read more. It is a book to read when you are celebrating life, cursing it, or doubting it all together. I continue to buy it for gifts for my friends...a must read!

Living Yes In A No World is one of the best books on perspective

Living Yes In A No World is one of the best books on perspective I have every read. The author weaves his personal story with the stories of many others who chose YES in the face of NO. I found this book to be full of practical insights and I was encouraged by hearing perspectives of those who have traveled a similar path. Yes has become a mantra for me and am growing to see this world and my place in it differently thanks in large part to this book.
