Victor Villaneñor is an awesome writter. He needs to know how much i love his books. i was crying, laughing, smiling, i felt as if i was part of his family experiencing everything they felt. He made his novel so realistic it was unbelievable. This was the best book i have read so far and i cant wait to read the rest of his books.

    Best book I've ever read!

Best story I've ever read of a mexican family migrating to California. It's a story of love, struggle, sorrow, and humor. It's a novel that everyone should read.

One of the best Mexico stories out there!

Having lived in Mexico for some time now, I seek out literature about the country, and Victor Villaseñor's Rain of Gold is easily one of the best books I've read in years. Tracing the path of two young people from childhood to adulthood, Villaseñor manages to shape a story about two fantastically different and wonderful matriarchs, leaving you in tears at the end.
