BN.com Gift Guide

Loaded, Vol. 1

Editorial Reviews

All Music Guide - Heather Phares
Loaded features a somewhat scattered mix consisting mostly of early '90s alternative, trip-hop, and pop hits, including Enigma's "Return to Innocence," EMF's "Unbelievable," Lenny Kravitz's "Are You Gonna Go My Way," and Jesus Jones' "Devil You Know." The Pet Shop Boys' remix of Blur's "Girls & Boys" and Milla's "Gentlemen Who Fell" are among the album's other highlights, but the Benedictine Monks' "Alleluia, Beatus Vir Qui Suffert," the Specials' "Ghost Town," and Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark's "Stand Above Me" add to the lack of focus on this interesting, if fragmented, sampler.
