    Get Your Head Around This.

The Locke and Key series delivers with memorable characters and intriguing stories. If you're into horror comics with a strong magical bent, this is for you.
This is the second story. You could jump on here, but you'll only end up buying the first volume and kicking yourself.
The artwork is packed with telling detail. I found myself re-reading pages to savour the little touches in every panel. There were spreads in this book that made me gasp and laugh at the same time.
A lot of successful comic writing comes down to pacing and compression. The writer is a master at leading you through the story. The telling of the tale is clever and inventive. In this volume more of the mysteries of the house are revealed and some intriguing hints about what's going to happen are given.
The book itself is gorgeosuly bound and printed. This is the whole package if you're looking to buy someone a gift.

The Series Gets Better and Better

Locke and Key volume 2 adds more background to the story as well as more excitement. There’s really nothing new with the artwork but that’s fine, its good the way it is. With the addition of new keys there are more opportunities for exciting stories and unexpected twists. I like the ideas of them adding in a new key or two every volume to keep it fresh and new. I definitely like this book a lot more than the first as it clears up things and makes it easier to understand.
    Reviewer: Kole for Book Sake

I really liked Volume 1 of Locke and Key and Volume 2 just got better. There is less confusion in this book as we are let on more and more of the story of the keys, the house, and Zack. There is a lot of the history of these things added in and new keys are discovered and used to do some pretty strange things. I like that the odd things aren’t just glazed over as if they were normal, but that the characters are taken back and shocked by the strange happenings – but of course they do have to accept them quickly in order to move on with the storyline. Definitely continuing on to Volume 3!

    Depressing

Wow just wow is what I been thinking throughout this. That and what's going on now? Why would you do that? This villain you want to punch in the face. And as for the other characters, the main ones anyway, you want to give them a hug after what they went through in the last volume and what there going through now. wow is this depressing. And yet the art is drawn really well. Especially the art work at the very end. Very creepy.

    Love it!

I am not a comic book fan (just never read them, nothing against them) but this series may make me one. I can't wait to read the rest of them.

I enjoyed his novels as well, especially NOS4A2.

Pulls you in and won't let go

The second collection in the Locke&Key series is even better than the first, pulling you in from the first page and gripping you until the last. The characters are believable and at times truly pitiable. The art is gorgeous and engrossing. Definitely a series worth your money and time.
