If you enjoy spine-tingling suspense and a love story that will leave you feeling all giddy...then LOGAN'S REDEMPTION is for you. It's in my "Keeper Collection"!

Logan's Redemption grabbed me with the blurb. I adore stories of lost lovers reuniting again years later. I just knew that Logan and Dori would be together and loved reading how their relationship had to grow and each character had to come to grips with their respective pasts. Logan had a bit more baggage than Dori and his forgiving of himself was hard for him to do.All in all, I enjoyed Logan's Redemption very much and would automatically read another novel by Cara Marsi.

Read an Excerpt

Doriana turned off the TV and dropped the remote on the bed. Thinking about Logan teased her with questions. Why was Logan at the fire site with her dad? That story about his having fire experience didn't ring true. What were Logan and her father hiding?

Thankfully, the workweek had been short with the two-day holiday. She needed time away from Logan and all the longings, confusion and guilt he stirred in her.

She trusted Anita to keep her secret. Would her own guilt force the truth? Logan hadn't cared enough to stay around the first time. Would knowing about Josh keep him here now? Doriana got up from the bed and ran impatient fingers through her hair. She was obsessing way too much about Logan.

She walked toward the bathroom, pulling her sweater over her head. Too bad she couldn't peel away her problems as smoothly. The ring of the phone stopped her. Slipping her sweater back on, she hurried to answer it. Josh calling to say goodnight? She doubted it.

"Hello," she said into the receiver.

"Hello, sexy." At the crude, unfamiliar voice, she tightened her grip on the phone. Chills chased up her spine.

"Who is this?" Her voice shook.

"Oh, you don't know me. Not yet. But I sure know you. You're sexy as hell, especially in those tight black pants."

Doriana slammed down the phone. Her insides quivered and she ran trembling hands along the sides of her black pants. Had her caller guessed at what she wore? Or was he watching? She gulped air.

The phone rang again and she let out a small cry. She balled her hands, digging her nails into her palms. She would not pick up the phone. The answering machine clicked on.

"You can't get away fromme that easy." The harsh voice, laced with menace, froze her. "I know you're alone." Almost seeing his leer, she shoved a shaking fist to her mouth.

"Let me in, bitch. I'll show a hot number like you what a real man is. Not like that pretty boy you've been hanging around with."

    Fantastic Read

Don't you just love a good love story? I know I do, nothing like a good ol' love story to pull you out of your busy or maybe sometimes boring day. I honestly didn't know what to expect when I first read the premise for this book, even when I first started reading it I was still unsure. Boy oh boy did I love this book! Deep, dark secrets brings on the suspense, the love brings on the fuzzy feelings and the characters just make everything else. The storyline of this book was great on its own but throw in great, fascinating characters and you just have book gold! The book is 252 pages, I'm surprised I didn't burn the 'Next' button on my computer because I was flipping through them so fast, although I think I might have saw smoke...It is definitely a page turner.

This book will definitely leave you with a great feeling after your done reading it. I would highly recommend this book to be read while on vacation or outside in the summer sun. I just can't get over how much this book surprised me, can you tell? Charming characters, a sizzling, enticing storyline. Logan's Redemption is a gem!

What I loved: Everything. The characters, the storyline and I can't forget to mention the good-looking cover. Is it just me or does he look like Cam Gigandet(James from Twilight)?
What I disliked: Nothing. Loved it all

    What a Great Story!

I'm a sucker for a good reunion story, and Cara Marsi didn't disappoint! The pages of LOGAN'S REDEMPTION are filled with edge-of-your-seat suspense. The chemistry between Doriana and Logan sizzles. It was so HOT I thought it might short-circuit my K2 a time or two. Even so, the rift between Doriana and Logan seemed so wide that--while I desperately wanted them to make amends--I wasn't sure if it was possible to bridge the gap. Ms. Marsi proved me wrong, and quite adeptly at that.

If you enjoy spine-tingling suspense and a love story that will leave you feeling all giddy...then LOGAN'S REDEMPTION is for you. It's in my "Keeper Collection"!

When I first started reading this book I thought it was another one of those bad boys from the wrong side of the track
falls in love with the rich good girl stories. And while yes there is the bad boy/good girl theme it was nothing
like I thought it would be. Cara Marsi kept me enthralled with this story. The plot was great, it twisted and turned
and at one point I really didn't thinking thta Doriana (the good girl) and Logan (the bad boy) would even have a
Happy Ever After in the end. They can't fix the past, and sometimes you can't let go of broken promises and stubborn
prides. Family squabbles and industrial espianage don't help either  but that's life sometimes.

For the first book I've read by Cara Marsi I was not disappointed and will definately read others by her. She made
me need to grab the box of Kleenex and it usually takes alot for me to cry while reading a book.

    ‘Logan’s Redemption’ by Cara Marsi
Ms. Marsi has written a beautiful story of heartbreak, pride, misunderstandings and second chances.
Logan and Doriana have a history. Though it has been years since they last saw each other, their
feelings have never died. This story details their poignantly emotional journey back to each other
    amidst danger and other obstacles.
I highly recommend this book  and look forward to reading the second book in the Redemption
    series, Franco’s Fortune.

    Secrets, Second Chances, and Sizzle

When Logan Tanner reappears in Doriana Callahan's life, feelings that have lain dormant for 16 years resurface, along with long-held secrets. In the first few pages, Cara Marsi's second novel, LOGAN'S REDEMPTION, will have you intrigued by Doriana and Logan's past, fearful of their present situation, and wondering what the future holds for these seemingly star-crossed lovers. Marsi deftly creates page-turning suspense, as she weaves the story through scenes with strong visual imagery and reveals her characters' feelings in ways that will tug at your emotions. And be prepared--the chemistry between Logan and Doriana crackles with enough electricity to power the city of Philadelphia. Review written by Ann Whitaker and posted by Carolyn Matkowsky

I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author in return for an honest review.

This is the first book in the Redemption Series. I really enjoyed it!

Doriana Callahan is a wonderful character, although sometimes I wanted to knock some sense into her. She is a single mother, with a rebelling teenager. However, her stubbornness in accepting help of any kind, didn't endear her to me. Her family are supportive of her, but she seems to resent their meddling (which I can understand up to a point) and is terrified that her family would find out the identity of her son's father. After sixteen years, I doubt they would even care anymore, but who can say? When her father employs Logan Tanner to investigate the sabotage of his business, Doriana's life is thrown into turmoil.

Logan Tanner is also a wonderful character. He is very determined, focused and dangerous in his own way. He left town sixteen years ago after an event that made him run. He may have done something bad in the past, but he was only protecting himself in self defense. This, amongst other things, convinced me that he is a good and noble man. Now living in Tuscon, he runs a very successful private investigation and security business. He's back in Philadelphia, but being near Doriana reminds him of what he left behind. Can he find the saboteur and leave with his heart intact?

I started to read this story and was hooked from the first page. The story is told from the points of view of both Logan and Doriana. I am a sucker for romance novels with a bit of mystery, intrigue and danger in them; this book has it in spades. There are some interesting characters in this book. Dan Callahan is an extremely sharp businessman. I liked him a lot. Franco is Doriana's brother and a bit of a playboy, who never seems to take anything seriously. And then there is fifteen year old Josh. I liked this troubled teen. He is trying to find where he fits in and, although he makes a few mistakes, he has a good heart.

The danger is not as imminent and right there as if this is a thriller, but the intrigue and mystery as to who is sabotaging the business had me turning the pages. The chemistry between Doriana and Logan is definitely smoldering, even after sixteen years apart. Their sexual tension permeates the story and when they finally get back together, it's extremely HOT. I did find Doriana's incessant worries about Logan finding out about Josh being his son to be a bit of an overreaction on her part. I don't have any experience with having children, but I don't think that Logan would have ever considered taking Josh away from her; it didn't fit in with my impression of his character. This is a rather formulaic romance and similar to many other romance novels I have read over the years, but I really did enjoy it from beginning to end. However, there are a few twists that surprised me. I am now looking forward to reading the second book in the series, Franco's Fortune, as soon as I can.

Cara Marsi has written a wonderful contemporary romance. I love her fast paced writing style and the flow was wonderful. Her characters are not perfect and have flaws, but this makes them seem more realistic and alive in my opinion. I am looking forward to reading more of this author's work in the future.

Due to scenes that are a little explicit in nature (although not as explicit as some books I have read), I do not recommend this book for readers under the age of 16. However, I highly recommend this book if you love steamy contemporary romances. - Lynn Worton

Story proves time does not in fact heal all wounds.

I enjoyed the characters and the skillful way the backstory was woven into the plot. Editing was skillful and kept the pace moving and the characters consistent. As a writer myself, I have learned a new a new technique. Now I must make it mine.

I enjoyed Doriana & Logan's story...a second chance to be with your first love is wonderful. I love Doriana's family and could relate to her relationship with her parents. I also got upset with her parents birthday "gift" to 16 yr old Josh! I enjoyed meeting all the characters in the first book of her Redemption series and I am really looking forward to reading all about Franco (Doriana's brother) in the second book Franco's Fortune. I sure hope that he "grows up." All in all it was a very enjoyable read.

I received this book from BookRhythm in return for a fair and honest review.

This book has all the ingredients for a good romantic suspense story but some of the other behaviour in the book became irritating to me as the story went along and even overshadowed the suspense part which I found to be a shame.

I understand that most romance stories either involve the horrible triangle, hidden angst and secrets or lack of communication. This book sort of had all three. At one point, Logan thinks Josh is Doriana's lover so he gets jealous. Then we have the secrets in both our main characters' lives. To top it off we have both of them keeping said secrets from each other and giving the dreaded "if they wanted me, they'd say" speech and waiting for the other to make the first move. Like I've just said, this overshadowed the suspense part of the story.

The suspense itself was very well written with a number of intriguing characters that could be the 'bad guy'. It kept you on reading as you didn't know who had done what and how deeply they were involved. I thought this part was very well done as although you knew who the bad guy was past a certain point, you were still uncertain why. And he really wasn't a very nice person!

A good book with an entertaining storyline for fans of contemporary romance.

Cute story...worth the small price tag!

This is a quick, feel-good read with some suspense and romance. It is a bit predictable but I am ok with that. Love, romance, and a happy ending...and that guy on the cover is HOT!
