Like Logos? You've never seen these (but should)

As a graphics professional, I bought this book online for a co-worker as a gift hoping it would have some little-seen and original logos in it. Luckily, it did! It's got several thousand logos, and after flipping through it I would say I have never seen more than 90% of them. It's got little-known companies from Arizona, Salem, North Carolina, and other parts of the US not exactly know as hotbeds for design.
One of the best parts of the book is that the first 1/3 of it is spent focusing on about 10 really famous and well-designed logos; it gives you a breakdown on the design firms or artists working on it, why they did what they did and goes through their process. They even have some schematics and drafts of the logo as it developed, great for logo dorks like me.
The previously mentioned thousand logos are all organized into a very useful gallery based on type (automotive, legal services, bakers, public service, etc.). It's pretty handy and cool just to browse. I recommend the book to anyone studying Graphic design or branding, it's a nice little conversation piece in the office too.
