Editorial Reviews

Children's Literature
On Easter morning the family wakes Lola so she and her brother, Gilbert, can hunt for Easter eggs. In each scene there is a flap that covers nearly half of the picture. When lifted it shows more action and text. The brother and sister team find eggs all over the house and together they have a dozen beautiful eggs. Mom and Dad just watch. Then Lola gets a bright idea. She too can hide eggs. She puts on her bunny ears and proceeds to deposit eggs in some pretty unusual places. Eventually eleven are found, but what did Lola do with number twelve? Kids will find out when they lift the final flap. 2005, HarperCollins, Ages 3 to 6.
