As someone who frequently visits London, I was immediately drawn to this book. It starts with a brief history of the Underground before launching into a whizz through the origins of the various station names. In doing so, the book uses the station names to tell fascinating tales of the history behind the areas of the city they reside in. More of a travellers history than a train-spotters guide to the Tube, it's easy to read and carefully researched, and provides a welcome change from the usual city guide books. A good read. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.
