Overview

From the moment she looked through the antique mirror and saw him change from beast to man, Martha wanted him. The brawny Highlander, sexy and dark, made her body burn for his possession. But when he reached through the glass to yank her straight into the past, her fantasy became reality.

Trapped by an evil curse, Silas MacAdam, the lycan king, yearned for the modern woman who stared so innocently at him through the mirror. The need to take, to claim, to possess her on the furs in his ancient castle, burned him. Only she can help him return to his rightful place among his people. Upon their arrival in modern-day Texas, it becomes his mission to convince the lady that she belongs to him-as his mate.

Lone Star Lycan

Book 2 in the High Plains Shifters series but may be read as a stand-alone story.

She came to dusty west Texas to bury the dead. But one look from Joe's smoldering eyes made Quinn Harlow grow wet and needy. The cowboy was too big, too sexy, too everything, and more man than she'd ever had before. Though she was just a visitor, her heart begged her to stay and find her destiny with him on these desolate plains.

Joe McKinnon, alpha of the Wolf Creek pack, takes one look at his destined mate and knows he'll have his hands full dealing with the sassy female. A single glance has his cock going hard. One touch has him willing to move mountains to claim her. He knows it won't be easy to tame the woman who holds his future in her hands.

HIGHLAND BEAST (High Plains Shifters Book 1) Martha Bennett was not like other kids growing up her abilities as an empath caused many adults as well as children to shun her. These days Martha prefers the quite life so she live on the open land away from people and their emotions. Silas MacAdam has been cursed by a scorned witch destined to live out his days trapped within the walls of his castle locked inside and antique mirror. Silas yearns for the day the one of pure heart will purchase the mirror and set him free. Martha is drawn to the antique mirror and is compelled to buy it and take it home. That night strange things happen, Martha is once again drawn to the carvings on the mirror and when she rubs her hand over them everything begins to change. Before Martha can think straight she is drawn into a world she never knew existed with a man she swears was just a wolf. Is Martha the one of pure heart sent to set Silas free and will Martha be able to accept Silas's word as truth after so many disappointment. I enjoyed ready Highland Beast and look forward to reading the next book in this series. LONE STAR LYCAN (High Plains Shifters Book 2) Quinn Harlow grew up never really knowing where she belonged, her mother loved her but her step father made it clear she was something to be tolerated not loved. Joe McKinnon loved his Alpha Bart Fitzpatrick but someone took him violently from them. Now Joe has taken over as Alpha and he must keep his pack strong while he silently mourns the loss of his alpha and friend. Just before Bart was killed he received news from a PI that he had a daughter unfortunately it would be too late for her to meet him in person. Quinn is headed for dusty Texas where the father she has only just leant about has been buried, she is stunned when she arrives by the man standing there paying his respects. Joe turns and the minute he locks eyes with Quinn he knows who she is and more confronting he knows who she is to him. Quinn is about to find out more about herself and where she comes from and when it is over she will need to make a decision is she willing to take what her father left her and Joe is offering or will she leave and return to the city. Lone Star Lycan has a great storyline, I love the dynamics of the characters and would definitely recommend this book and series!
