Coulden't put the book down. The cover of the book suggests a western. It is not. It is a thriller. I can't wait to read her next one

I had just read another of her books, and when I saw this, had to try it too. This woman is a fantastic author! She makes the storyline so suspenseful, and romantic, who could not like it? Another thing... she talks about towns right here where I live, and that's fun, too. I'd give her 10 stars if I could... loved the book.

Meet the Author

Award-winning author Tori Scott believes in love. She met her husband, Tony, on her first day of college at the age of 17 and knew the moment she met him that he was the one she was supposed to marry. She did, and they now live on 5 acres in the country with their dog Blue. They have 4 grown children and 5 grandchildren spread from Massachusetts to southern California.

Tori has been writing for 10 years and has published one book through Red Sage Publishing, had a short story published in the Christmas issue of Woman's World in 2005, and has had several stories, essays, and poems published in anthologies and newspapers. She's a former Golden Heart finalist in the prestigious RWA writing contest.

    Nails it on the 1st try!!

    This is the author's first go at romantic suspense and let's all hope it isn't her last cuz not only am I depending on her to write Cody's story it would just plain be a shame! Right from the start I was in a whirlwind of emotions ranging from wanting to kick someone's butt to being suspicious of every character! As for the main characters Maddie and Rand...ahhh unrequited love and secret's that will change everything. I particularly liked how this author gave us all the details that are usually lacking in most books at just how the characters and events had been manipulated or sabotaged. I think laying it out in this way was a great way to flow from young love, anger & betrayal, to finding their way back without it seeming rushed, unrealistic or cheesy. Throw in some humor and sex and what more could you want or ask for! I suggest you buy it, read it and enjoy it as I did.
