Editorial Reviews

Children's Literature - Sue Preslar
Emo the ameba was lonesome. No one in the whole pond seemed to be interested in being his friend. He was too slow or too small or too different to fit in with any of the other water organisms. It wasn't until he learned to split himself in two that he was able to find a companion just like him. The lesson learned is that you must learn to like yourself before you can be likable. While the message may be didactic, the colorful illustrations and delightful adventure will also teach young children some scientific basics about organisms not seen with the naked eye.
