    Discoveries~Chapter 1~A Prime and Blockade~Part 3

"Why do thy think my essays on Cybertron, silly?" Grumbled Miko. "They even said mine an Ratchet's Cybertron model was ridiculious!"
"Miko, they dont know of us, remember?" Said Bulkhead, who had heard the girl when he walked in.
"Yeah i guess...but still!" Said Miko, obviously irritated but happy to see her 'Bot friend. I looked at Ratchet as the human's elevator, which led to the roof of the base and a helipad, doors opened to reveal Agent Fowler.
"Jack," whispered Ratchet. Jack looked up at our medic, who motioned toward my windshield.
"Prime!" Called Fowler. "Can you explain?"
    "Th pod?" Asked Rafael.
"Yes the pod." Replied Agent Fowler.
"We cannot retrieve the pod or who is in it because of the civilians." I said.
"So it needs to be moved...impossible! The local authorities have tried for hours-sorry, i mean joors- to move it, but it cant even be lifted by a crane!" Fowler said.
"You could get it at night, Optimus?" Suggested Raf.
"There's no way with the people ho are out at night!" Said Ratchet.
"Police can block off all surrounding streets. As long as you get the space rock out of the school!" Agent Fowler said as he went back into the elevator to leave.
"Tonight it is then." Commented Ratchet.
"Its almost twilight, you should go a few hours from midnight." Said Raf.
"Thank you Rafael." I said before looking back at Ratchet, who had turned his attention back to his monitors. The monitors showed all empty energon mines that the Decepticons had deserted, and we hoped to find one that at least still held energon missed by the 'Cons.
"Marco!" Said Bulkhead, standing behind the kids' couch.
"Polo!" Miko replied. 'Marco Polo' is their greeting to each other, i guess a little late this time.
"So how are we going to rule out waiting the next few hours?" Asked Jack. Miko shrugged and sat with Rafael after turning the TV on, holding the remote.
"Optimus, ive found a potentially full deposit," said Ratchet. "And its near here too!"
I turned my attention to Ratchet's monitor as he logged the coordinates into the Ground-bridge controls.
~Bumblebee, would you like to accompany me on a reconissanse mission?~ i asked through my bond with my son, Bumblebee.
~You bet Op!~ Bumblebee replied, using his sparklinghood nickname for me. "i havent been on any recons lately..." he beeped.
"Well here's your chance," sid Ratchet as he activated the 'Bridge. "Be careful this time around?"
    ***************************************************
We emerged from the Ground-bridge in the middle of nowhere-sort of- canyons ahead, and desert behind Bee and me. It was already twilight, the sky orange but the moon already showing brihtly though the sun still had a ways to go. The stars also blinked on the darker side of the horizon.
"The deposit shoukd be in the canyons." I said.
"but where are we?" Beeped Bumblebee.
"A few miles from base." Answered ratchet via COM link. I transformed and started toward the canyon, Bumblebee not far behind. We came to a stop in front of a cave entrance in the side of the canyon, and Bumblebee transformed first. (We used to always transform-race)
"Do you wih to scout ahead?" I asked after transforming myself. The scout nodded and entered the cave; i wasnt far behind this time, but not before looking up at the canyon walls. I noted the walls were too steep to climb if cornered by Decepticons. (Will continue in next result!)
